For Survival

Last week I went to a fabulous enrichment night. Two wards in my stake, my ward and another, invited Rebecca (I am sorry I can’t remember her last name) to come and speak on food storage. Her topic was the “20 Items I Wouldn’t Want to be Without”. I have to admit I wasn’t too excited about attending and the reason I went was really to be seen and make new friends. I was expecting the usual food storage plan; go to the cannery and can a lot of food you don’t know how to use and will probably go bad within 10 years. Boy, Was I wrong! This woman has really pondered and prayed over food storage and has come up with some fabulous things that make a lot of sense. Her idea of a food storage plan is for survival only. She discusses things you will need if there was a epidemic, ways to stay warm if there was no heat, ways to cook food if there was no electricity or gas, different foods that give you the most amount of nutrients without a lot of work, and even how to keep foods like butter and cheese forever! I was so impressed that I purchased a packet of information she had available for $5.00 and am planning on getting or making some of the things she suggests. If you are interested in getting some information for yourself you can email her at 20items@gmail.com .

I think you should tell me what she said at lunch tomorrow. If I hear that the topic of enrichment is food storage I usually skip out. I guess

I could say that I'm an unbeliever in the excitments of food storage.

Make me a believer.
