Teachings Top 10

School has started! This year marks an important milestone in my life; it will be the first year in the last 22 years that I have not started school in the fall. As I reflect back on the good, the bad, and of course the ugly (middle school) memories I have of school being both a student and teacher, I have realized that I will not miss it. Goodbye old friend!
In homage to my past and out of respect for my fearless friends who still teach high school I have written the…

“Top 10 perks to being a teacher”!
10. Free School Pictures- who wouldn’t want a constant reminder that you are aging and the people you work with will always be between the ages of 15-18
9. Drama is not just a class, but a lifestyle
8. Field Trips- Europe for free (when you take 7 students)
7. Free Lunch- when you assign student a project that involves food
6. Your pajamas are considered professional dress
5. Having a High School crush…forever
4. Impacting another for good, as hoped
3. Say Hello to 3 months of paid summer vacation for the rest of your life
2. Your job doesn’t require you to actually work¬¬- here’s to child labor
1. Ramen Noodles, Yum!

How did I not see this post before. You hit it on the head. I like the first one best. They stay the same age. We get old and gray.

I've been thinking about you lately. Lets do something soon.
